Unfortunately, this is the trip that never happened. My nephew Michael was supposed to be married today in Charleston, SC. It was not to be. Even before the wedding was canceled, we made the painful decision that it was just too dangerous for the two of us to embark on such a trip.
We have been to Charleston many times and love it. We decided to visit Savannah for two nights before we went to Charleston. When it came time to cancel our travel arrangements, everybody involved was understanding. We have yet to get the final word regarding the pre-paid stay at the Ballastone Inn in Savannah. We are hoping for the best. We will keep you posted.
